In a recent Facebook post, Mark Zuckerberg, the head of the company, revealed the feature of eight simultaneous video calls from WhatsApp. He said, “Regularly 70 crore subscribers make calls using WhatsApp and Messenger. Instead of four people, eight people can join WhatsApp calls to keep in touch with their loved ones. ”

WhatsApp chief Will Cathcart said on Twitter that the feature will reach all iPhone and Android subscribers by next week. This means that the new group calling feature will reach WhatsApp in the next stable update.

Zuckerberg announced the launch of Messenger Rooms from the same Facebook post. This allows you to have up to 50 video conferences with Messenger. Facebook has come up with this feature to compete with Zoom. A total of 250 crore subscribers worldwide use Messenger.

This feature will be available to everyone within the next few weeks. Video calls are available for WhatsApp and Instagram subscribers. Even if you don't have a Facebook account, you can join the video conference from the browser by clicking on the invitation link.
